Carbondale Public Library is preparing for their 9th Annual Teen Poetry Contest and wants to spread the word! The contest will be open to students grades 7-12 with cash prizes for the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners.
Poems need to be submitted with entry form attached by 8 PM on Wednesday, April 5th. Email is the preferred method of submission, but paper submissions will also be accepted. Six students will win cash prizes for their poetry and all poems submitted will be included in our 2017 Teen Poetry Anthology.
Lastly, all applicants are invited to attend the Teen Poetry Reception at the library on Tuesday, April 25th at 4:00 p.m. There, the winners and other students will recite their poems.
