Lewis School Named 2009 Spotlight School by Illinois State Board of Education
The Spotlight Award recognizes a high poverty school where academic performance is closing the achievement gap. Lewis School has made Adequate Yearly Progress in the two previous years plus at least 60% of our students met or exceeded standards in both reading and math in 2009.
