ThinkTechFusion
Crucial to our students' ongoing academic achievement and future success is the development of problem solving, critical thinking and higher order thinking skills along with the ability to operate complex technology tools and applications. Having access to technology tools in the classroom is an important part of 21st century learning. However, having knowledgeable teachers who know not only how to use technology, but also, how to effectively integrate its use into the daily curriculum is perhaps the most critical component of our modern classrooms. The ThinkTechFusion project will incorporate not only technology in innovative ways in the classroom, but also infuse this technology use with critical thinking skills across language arts and mathematics. ThinkTechFusion will ultimately engage our students in the use of technology tools to provide active learning, authentic tasks and complex problem solving so that our students learn not only how to access information, but more importantly how to manage, analyze, critique, cross-reference and transform it into usable knowledge.
