Readiness & Emergency Management for Schools Grant

2010 – 2011 & 2011 – 2012 School Years

 

DUTIES:   The Project Manager has primaryresponsibility for the management and implementation of day-to-day activitiesof the Emergency Preparedness in Carbondale (EPIC) Project.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:   Applicantmust have a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in education, emergency planning orrelated field; Four years of managerial, professional or technical experiencein crisis management services preferably in a school setting or a closelyrelated field; Demonstrate experience coordinating school safety teams,Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Ability to prioritize andorganize multiple activities; Public speaking and presentations; Experience inplanning, estimating, scheduling and assigning work to complete a variety oftraining and planning activities; and experience in developing and trackingtimelines and training schedules.

 

SALARY:   $27,000per year

Duties andResponsibilities

 

Title:   ProjectManager – Part-Time

Reports To:   ProjectDirector

 

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

1.  Plans, directs,coordinates and supervises all Emergency Preparedness In Carbondale (EPIC)activities.

2.  Plans, coordinates andmaintains the training calendar for all crisis preparedness training.

3.  Schedules, coordinatesand supports the building-level planning in coordination with thetrainers/contractors and school/community partners.

4.  Provides consultationto the school teams on the development of individual facility emergency plans.

5.  Supports the DistrictSafety Management Team (DSMT) and School Safety Management Teams (SSMTs).

6.  Promotes EPIC to avariety of audiences.

7.  Collects and providesdata to program evaluators.

8.  Ensures the submissionof a regular project reports.

9.  Cultivates and models arespectful working and learning environment.
